Bring National Board Certification to Your School
If teachers and/or counselors in your school or district are interested in pursuing National Board Certification, then your school could become a National Board Professional Development School (NBPDS). You will find information on forming this Professional Learning Community in your school or district below.
Why Become an NBPDS?
- 97% of teachers/school counselors change their methods after earning National Board Certification. These adjustments make them more efficient and effective.
- When teachers become more efficient, they save time, improving their availability to take on teacher leadership roles, enhance instruction, and/or positively impact their work/life balance.
- Students who are taught by NBCTs are (up to two months) ahead of their peers in developing their math, science, and reading skills.
- When student scores are higher, school report cards improve, leading to a multitude of benefits for students, teachers, staff, and school communities.
