2023-2024 Approval List for Illinois National Board Retake Candidates

Approvals will be posted from September 18, 2023, through January 22, 2024.

Being approved only means that you have completed the Illinois NB Retake Candidate Fee Subsidy application and all of your information is accurate. The funds will only be paid if ALL required steps are followed.

If you completed Steps 1-3 of the Retake application process found on the National Board Resources Center (NBRC) website and your name does not appear on the approval list within 7 - 10 Business days, please contact the NBRC at 1-309-438-1835.

Approvals will only be made for candidates who completed and submitted ALL components (Component 1, Component 2, Component 3, and Component 4) and received final scores for ALL components by December 31, 2023.

NOTE: The state will only pay to retake Components 1 - 4 once. However, Component 1 Retake fees for the three Constructed Response Exercises and/or the Selected Response Items (SRIs) will be paid once for each section.
