2. Decide which application you are applying for: Illinois NBPTS Candidate Fee Subsidy or Take One! Participant Fee Subsidy.

3. ONLY submit ONE application.

4. Complete the Practice Application to be used when completing the NBPTS Illinois Candidate Fee Subsidy.

5. Read Common Errors Document.

February 15, 2013 (10:00 a.m.)– June 15, 2013 (4:30 p.m.)     

 Apply to NBPTS and complete the required application.

1. Applicants for the Illinois NB Candidate Fee Subsidy-$2,000 must:

• Apply to NBPTS and pay the $65 registration fee online at www.nbpts.org to get your candidate ID.

• Apply for the $2,000 Illinois NB Candidate Fee Subsidy by filling out the online application.

2. Applicants for the Illinois NB Take One! Participant Fee Subsidy-$395.

• Apply to NBPTs online at www.nbpts.org to get your Take One! Participant ID. There are NO application fees for Take One!

• Apply for the $395 Illinois Candidate Fee Subsidy by filling out the online application.

February 20, 2013

The names of the candidates who are approved to receive the NB Illinois Candidate Fee Subsidy will begin to be posted on the Approval List each workday.

June 15, 2013 (4:30 p.m.)

This is the last day the NBRC at Illinois State University will accept applications to the 2013 Illinois NBPTS Candidate Fee Subsidy Application. The deadline to complete the application is 4:30 p.m.

NB candidates on the WAITING LIST will be approved on a first come first serve basis –IF funding is available.

June 18, 2013

ALL candidates, whose names are posted on the NBRC at Illinois State University approval list, must pay the initial, non-refundable $500 to NBPTS within two weeks from the date their name is added to the approval list.

NB Take One! Participants will be approved on a first come, first serve basis ONLY if there is funding after all of the NBPTS Illinois Candidate applications are approved.
