The NBRC offers candidates PowerPoint presentations, working agendas, and handouts developed by NBCTs to support candidates as they complete their portfolio. It is assumed that a candidate has reviewed the Jumpstart materials and has explored the NBPTS materials. The development of each resource was based on the ethical belief that candidates should individually make decisions about their portfolio and own what they submit. These documents are arranged by topics for exploring, planning, gathering, drafting, and revising your work.
These materials are not sequenced and are not meant to be standardized. Each candidate or group of candidates should adapt these materials to meet unique needs and contexts. If the handout or PowerPoint helps—great! If it does not help, please do not use it. The NBRC will continue to revise and improve the offerings to candidates.
